Hunting Tags

- For bearded turkeys, there is a three daily bag limit and a three per season bag limit.
- Any shooter seeking a bird must have an active, unclaimed tag. Tags must be snapped shut and are non-transferable. Residents pay $5 for each tag, while nonresidents pay $20.
- Only in specific locations and at particular periods of the year is permitted. For instance, shooting is allowed in Unit A – Mauna Kea Forest Reserve and GMA, from a half-hour before dawn to a half-hour after dusk.
